Unapproachable Landscape

Unapproachable Landscape is an ongoing mix media drawing series Yishu has worked on at Cubberley Artist Residency program.

This artwork represents the artist's recent life experience of moving from city to silicon valley which requires more driving.

Therefore, the car became the center of her daily life. The reflection of the landscape on the car inspires the artist to examine how contemporary lifestyles profoundly change our attitude and perception towards the nature surrounding.

This series of drawings have experimentally combined different media, like screen print, acrylic painting and oil pastel etc. The artist expressively uses line and color to explore the boundary between representation and abstraction.
